योगवासिष्ठः       yogavāsiṣṭhaḥ - book-6, chapter-20, verse-21

न जीवितान्न मरणात्कर्मदेहस्य रोधनम् ।
यथा स्थितेन तिष्ठामस्तथैवास्तंगतेहिताः ॥ २१ ॥
na jīvitānna maraṇātkarmadehasya rodhanam ,
yathā sthitena tiṣṭhāmastathaivāstaṃgatehitāḥ 21
21. na jīvitāt na maraṇāt karmadehasya rodhanam
yathā sthitena tiṣṭhāmaḥ tathā eva astaṃgatehitāḥ
21. karmadehasya rodhanam jīvitāt na maraṇāt na
yathā sthitena tiṣṭhāmaḥ tathā eva astaṃgatehitāḥ
21. Neither by living nor by dying is there a cessation of the body of action (karma) for us. We simply remain in our established state, as those whose efforts have come to an end.
