योगवासिष्ठः       yogavāsiṣṭhaḥ - book-5, chapter-44, verse-38

तत्र ते ज्वलने दीप्ते चक्रुस्तं भस्मसाच्छवम् ।
बान्धवाः सलिलापूरं समुद्रा इव वाडवे ॥ ३८ ॥

38. There, on the brightly burning pyre, the relatives reduced that corpse to ashes, just as the oceans pour their waters into the submarine fire (vāḍava).
