योगवासिष्ठः       yogavāsiṣṭhaḥ - book-5, chapter-44, verse-23

पाण्डुराननमाम्लानं वृक्षपर्णमिवारसम् ।
शवीभूतमिवाग्लानं छिन्ननालमिवाम्बुजम् ॥ २३ ॥
pāṇḍurānanamāmlānaṃ vṛkṣaparṇamivārasam ,
śavībhūtamivāglānaṃ chinnanālamivāmbujam 23
23. pāṇḍurānanam āmlānam vṛkṣaparṇam iva arasam
śavībhūtam iva aglānam chinnanālam iva ambujam
23. pāṇḍurānanam āmlānam arasam vṛkṣaparṇam iva

23. With a pale face, withered, like a sapless tree leaf; resembling a corpse, yet not (fully) faded (aglānam), like a lotus whose stalk has been severed.
