योगवासिष्ठः       yogavāsiṣṭhaḥ - book-1, chapter-8, verse-22

चतुर्णामात्मजानां हि प्रीतिरत्रैव मे परा ।
ज्येष्ठं धर्ममयं तस्मान्न रामं नेतुमर्हसि ॥ २२ ॥
caturṇāmātmajānāṃ hi prītiratraiva me parā ,
jyeṣṭhaṃ dharmamayaṃ tasmānna rāmaṃ netumarhasi 22
22. caturṇām ātmajānām hi prītiḥ atra eva me parā
jyeṣṭham dharmamayam tasmāt na rāmam netum arhasi
22. Indeed, my supreme affection among my four sons (ātmajānām) is for him alone. He is the eldest and embodies the natural law (dharma). Therefore, you must not take Rama.
