योगवासिष्ठः       yogavāsiṣṭhaḥ - book-1, chapter-8, verse-33

महावीर्यवतां वीर्यमादत्ते युधि राक्षसः ।
तेन सार्धं न शक्ताः स्म संयुगे तस्य बालकैः ॥ ३३ ॥
mahāvīryavatāṃ vīryamādatte yudhi rākṣasaḥ ,
tena sārdhaṃ na śaktāḥ sma saṃyuge tasya bālakaiḥ 33
33. mahāvīryavatām vīryam ādatte yudhi rākṣasaḥ tena
sārdham na śaktāḥ sma saṃyuge tasya bālakaiḥ
33. In battle, that demon (Ravana) seizes the valor of even the most powerful. We are not capable of fighting in combat even with his children.
