योगवासिष्ठः       yogavāsiṣṭhaḥ - book-1, chapter-20, verse-22

नाशायैव मदार्तस्य दोषमौक्तिकधारिणः ।
अभिमानमहेभस्य नित्यालानं हि यौवनम् ॥ २२ ॥
nāśāyaiva madārtasya doṣamauktikadhāriṇaḥ ,
abhimānamahebhasya nityālānaṃ hi yauvanam 22

22. Youth is indeed the permanent tying post for the great elephant of ego (ahaṅkāra), which is afflicted by arrogance and bears the pearls of faults; it leads solely to its destruction.
