वाल्मीकि-रामायणम्       vālmīki-rāmāyaṇam - book-6, chapter-66, verse-28

ततः क्रुद्धो महाबाहुर्धनुश्चिच्छेद रक्षसः ।
अष्टाभिरथ नाराचैः सूतं विव्याध राघवः ।
भित्त्वा शरै रथं रामो रथाश्वान् समपातयत् ॥२८॥
28. tataḥ kruddho mahābāhurdhanuściccheda rakṣasaḥ ,
aṣṭābhiratha nārācaiḥ sūtaṃ vivyādha rāghavaḥ ,
bhittvā śarai rathaṃ rāmo rathāśvān samapātayat.

28. Then, enraged, the mighty-armed (Rāma) cut off the demon's bow. After that, Rāghava pierced the charioteer with eight iron arrows. Having shattered the chariot with his arrows, Rāma struck down its horses.
