वाल्मीकि-रामायणम्       vālmīki-rāmāyaṇam - book-2, chapter-18, verse-5

न तं पश्याम्यहं लोके परोक्षमपि यो नरः ।
अमित्रो ऽपि निरस्तो ऽपि यो ऽस्य दोषमुदाहरेत् ॥५॥
5. na taṃ paśyāmyahaṃ loke parokṣamapi yo naraḥ ,
amitro'pi nirasto'pi yo'sya doṣamudāharet.
5. na tam paśyāmi aham loke parokṣam api yaḥ naraḥ
amitraḥ api nirastaḥ api yaḥ asya doṣam udāharet
5. aham loke tam naram na paśyāmi yaḥ parokṣam api
amitraḥ api nirastaḥ api asya doṣam udāharet
5. I do not see any man in the world, not even indirectly, who, even if he were an enemy or rejected, would speak ill of him.
