32. tāmevamuktvā jananīṃ lakṣmaṇaṃ punarabravīt ,

abhiprāyamavijñāya satyasya ca śamasya ca.

Having thus spoken to his mother, he spoke again to Lakshmana: "O Lakshmana, I know your unparalleled affection for me. (But you spoke) without understanding the true intention (abhiprāyam) of truth (satya) and peace (śama)."
