मार्कण्डेय-पुराणम्       mārkaṇḍeya-purāṇam - chapter-53, verse-9

वक्ष्ये देवानृषींश्चैव यक्षेन्द्राः पितरश्च ये ।
उत्पत्तिं संग्रहं ब्रह्मन् श्रूयतामस्य सन्ततिः ॥९॥
9. vakṣye devānṛṣīṃścaiva yakṣendrāḥ pitaraśca ye .
utpattiṃ saṃgrahaṃ brahman śrūyatāmasya santatiḥ.
9. vakṣye devān ṛṣīn ca eva yakṣendrāḥ pitaraḥ ca ye
utpattim saṃgraham brahman śrūyatām asya santatiḥ
9. O Brahmā, I shall now speak of the origin and a comprehensive account of the gods, the sages, the lords of the yakṣas, and those ancestors (pitṛs). Let his lineage (santati) be heard.
