मार्कण्डेय-पुराणम्       mārkaṇḍeya-purāṇam - chapter-53, verse-43

प्रियव्रतस्य पुत्रैस्तु भुक्त्वा स्वायम्भुवेऽन्तरे ।
एष स्वायम्भुवः सर्गः कथितस्ते द्विजोत्तम ॥४३॥
43. priyavratasya putraistu bhuktvā svāyambhuve'ntare .
eṣa svāyambhuvaḥ sargaḥ kathitaste dvijottama.
43. priyavratasya putraiḥ tu bhuktvā svāyambhuve antare
eṣa svāyambhuvaḥ sargaḥ kathitaḥ te dvijottama
43. The earth (vasundharā) with its seven islands was ruled by the sons of Priyavrata during the Svāyambhuva Manvantara. O best of the twice-born (dvijottama), this account of the Svāyambhuva creation (sarga) has been narrated to you.
