सत्त्वमात्रात्मिकामेव ततोऽन्यां जगृहे तनुम् ।
पितृवन्मन्यमानस्य पितरस्तस्य जज्ञिरे ॥९॥

Then, he assumed another body, one whose essence (ātman) was purely of the quality of goodness (sattva). While he was meditating in the manner of the ancestors (Pitṛs), the ancestors (Pitṛs) were born from him.
