रजस्तमोमयीं रात्रौ जगृहे क्षुत्तृडन्वितः ॥१८॥

After creating these four [periods], Prajāpati (Brahmā) then assumed another body, one consisting of rajas and tamas, at night, being afflicted by hunger and thirst.
