मार्कण्डेय-पुराणम्       mārkaṇḍeya-purāṇam - chapter-48, verse-27

उष्ट्रानश्वतरांश्चैव नानारूपाश्च जातयः ।
ओषध्यः फलमूलिन्यो रोमभ्यस्तस्य जज्ञिरे ॥२७॥
27. uṣṭrānaśvatarāṃścaiva nānārūpāśca jātayaḥ .
oṣadhyaḥ phalamūlinyo romabhyastasya jajñire.
27. uṣṭrān aśvatarān ca eva nānārūpāḥ ca jātayaḥ |
oṣadhyaḥ phalamūlinyaḥ romabhyaḥ tasya jajñire
27. From his body's hair (romabhyaḥ), various species, including camels and mules, as well as fruit- and root-bearing herbs (oṣadhyaḥ), were born.
