क्रौष्टुकिरुवाच ।
समासात् कथिता सृष्टिः सम्यग् भगवता मम ।
देवादीनां भवं ब्रह्मन् विस्तरात्तु ब्रवीहि मे ॥१॥

samāsāt kathitā sṛṣṭiḥ samyag bhagavatā mama .
devādīnāṃ bhavaṃ brahman vistarāttu bravīhi me.

Krauṣṭuki said: "O revered one, you have described creation to me concisely and thoroughly. Now, O Brahmin (brahman), please explain the origin of the gods and other beings in detail."
