देवाद्याः स्थावरान्ताश्च प्रजा ब्रह्मंश्चतुर्विधाः ।
ब्रह्मणः कुर्वतः सृष्टिं जज्ञिरे मानसास्तदा ॥३॥

3. devādyāḥ sthāvarāntāśca prajā brahmaṃścaturvidhāḥ .

3.
O Brahmā, when the (supreme) Brahmā was performing creation, the four types of beings – ranging from the gods down to the immovable creatures – were then mentally born from him.
