मार्कण्डेय-पुराणम्       mārkaṇḍeya-purāṇam - chapter-133, verse-6

धृत्वा जघान दुष्टात्मा लोकनाथमनाथवत् ।
माता च संदिश्य हि मां धिक्छब्दं ब्रुवती सती ॥६॥
6. dhṛtvā jaghāna duṣṭātmā lokanāthamanāthavat .
mātā ca saṃdiśya hi māṃ dhikchabdaṃ bruvatī satī.
6. dhṛtvā jaghāna duṣṭātmā lokanātham anāthavat
mātā ca saṃdiśya hi mām dhik śabdam bruvatī satī
6. Even he (the king), becoming wicked-souled, having drawn his sword and holding the matted hair (of his victim) with his left hand, killed the lord of the world as if he were an orphan. And my mother, having indeed instructed me and uttering the word 'Shame!', being (present)...
