मार्कण्डेय-पुराणम्       mārkaṇḍeya-purāṇam - chapter-133, verse-21

न गजो न रथी नाश्वस्तस्य बाणसहस्तु यः ।
ततो दमेन युयुधे सेनाध्यक्षो वपुष्मतः ॥२१॥
21. na gajo na rathī nāśvastasya bāṇasahastu yaḥ .
tato damena yuyudhe senādhyakṣo vapuṣmataḥ.
21. na gajaḥ na rathī na aśvaḥ tasya bāṇasahaḥ tu
yaḥ tataḥ damēna yuyudhē sēnādhyakṣaḥ vapuṣmataḥ
21. That one, who was an archer, had neither an elephant, nor a charioteer, nor a horse. Then Dama fought Vapuṣmat's army commander.
