गृहीतखड्गावुत्तीर्य चिक्रीडाते महाबलौ ।
दमः क्षणं नृपं ध्यात्वा पितरं निहतं वने ॥३१॥

31. gṛhītakhaḍgāvuttīrya cikrīḍāte mahābalau .
damaḥ kṣaṇaṃ nṛpaṃ dhyātvā pitaraṃ nihataṃ vane.

Damana, having meditated (dhyāna) for a moment upon his father who was slain in the forest, then the two mighty ones, having seized their swords and sprung up, contended (or fought a duel).
