मार्कण्डेय-पुराणम्       mārkaṇḍeya-purāṇam - chapter-133, verse-18

आहूतसमरे चैव पुमान्सेनाविकत्थनः ।
ततो युद्धमतीवासीद्दमस्य च वपुष्मतः ॥१८॥
18. āhūtasamare caiva pumānsenāvikatthanaḥ .
tato yuddhamatīvāsīddamasya ca vapuṣmataḥ.
18. āhūtasamare ca eva pumān senāvikatthanaḥ
tataḥ yuddham atīva āsīt damasya ca vapuṣmataḥ
18. And indeed, when a boastful warrior was challenged to battle, a very great fight took place between Dama and the valiant one.
