मार्कण्डेय-पुराणम्       mārkaṇḍeya-purāṇam - chapter-133, verse-1

मार्कण्डेय उवाच ।
इति प्रतिज्ञाय तदा नरिष्यन्तसुतो दमः ।
कोपामर्षविवृत्ताक्षः श्भश्रुमावृत्य पाणिना ॥१॥
1. mārkaṇḍeya uvāca .
iti pratijñāya tadā nariṣyantasuto damaḥ .
kopāmarṣavivṛttākṣaḥ śbhaśrumāvṛtya pāṇinā.
1. mārkaṇḍeyaḥ uvāca iti pratijñāya tadā nariṣyanta-sutaḥ
damaḥ kopāmarṣa-vivṛtta-akṣaḥ śmaśrum āvṛtya pāṇinā
1. Mārkaṇḍeya said: Having thus made a vow, Dama, the son of Nariṣyanta, with eyes widened from anger and indignation, stroked his beard with his hand.
