मार्कण्डेय-पुराणम्       mārkaṇḍeya-purāṇam - chapter-131, verse-25

आकृष्य केशेषु बलादपराधं विना ततः ।
हतो वपुष्मता ख्यातिमिति ते भूपतिर्गता ॥२५॥
25. ākṛṣya keśeṣu balādaparādhaṃ vinā tataḥ .
hato vapuṣmatā khyātimiti te bhūpatirgatā.
25. ākṛṣya keśeṣu balāt aparādham vinā tataḥ
hataḥ vapuṣmatā khyātim iti te bhūpatiḥ gatā
25. Having forcibly seized him by the hair, and without any offense, he was then killed by a powerful person. Your king has thus acquired (such a reputation for) fame.
