पप्रच्छ कस्त्वं भो विप्रः क्षत्रियो वा वनेचरः ।
वानप्रस्थमनुप्राप्तो वैश्यो वा मम कथ्यताम् ॥११॥

He asked, "O Brahmin, who are you? Are you a kṣatriya, or a forest-dweller who has adopted the vānaprastha (forest-dweller) stage of life, or a vaiśya? Please tell me."
