मार्कण्डेय-पुराणम्       mārkaṇḍeya-purāṇam - chapter-117, verse-9

अन्ये मृगाः पलायन्ते महाभीत्या विलोक्य माम् ।
कथमात्मप्रदानं त्वं मृत्यवे कर्तुमिच्छसि ॥९॥
9. anye mṛgāḥ palāyante mahābhītyā vilokya mām .
kathamātmapradānaṃ tvaṃ mṛtyave kartumicchasi.

9. Other deer flee in great fear when they see me. How then do you wish to offer yourself (ātman) to death?
