मार्कण्डेय-पुराणम्       mārkaṇḍeya-purāṇam - chapter-117, verse-8

तं वाहयन्तं तुरगमन्यतो गहनाद्वनात् ।
विनिष्क्रम्य मृगः प्राह मां हत्वाभिमतं कुरु ॥८॥
8. taṃ vāhayantaṃ turagamanyato gahanādvanāt .
viniṣkramya mṛgaḥ prāha māṃ hatvābhimataṃ kuru.
8. tam vāhayantam turagam anyataḥ gahanāt vanāt
viniṣkramya mṛgaḥ prāha mām hatvā abhimatam kuru
8. While he was riding his horse, a deer emerged from a dense part of the forest elsewhere and said, 'Kill me and achieve your desired outcome.'
