मार्कण्डेय-पुराणम्       mārkaṇḍeya-purāṇam - chapter-117, verse-4

यतश्च प्राप्य वित्तर्द्धिमतुलां दातृसत्तमात् ।
जगृहुर्ब्राह्मणा विप्र नान्यराज्ञः प्रतिग्रहम् ॥४॥
4. yataśca prāpya vittarddhimatulāṃ dātṛsattamāt .
jagṛhurbrāhmaṇā vipra nānyarājñaḥ pratigraham.
4. yataḥ ca prāpya vittarddhim atulām dātṛsattamāt
jagṛhuḥ brāhmaṇā vipra na anyarājñaḥ pratigraham
4. O brahmin, the brahmins, having received incomparable wealth from him, the best of givers, did not accept any gifts from other kings.
