घातयस्वेति मां मांसैर्मम कर्म समाचार ।
यथा कृतार्थता ते स्यान्मम चाप्युपकारि तत् ॥१२॥

"[The deer said:] 'Sacrifice me; perform my ritual (karma) with my flesh. So that your objective may be fulfilled, and that will also be beneficial for me.'"
