मार्कण्डेय-पुराणम्       mārkaṇḍeya-purāṇam - chapter-117, verse-17

सर्वसाध्या नरेन्द्रेयं मृगजातिः सुकातरा ।
तेष्वपत्येषु मे चातिममत्वं तेन दुःखितः ॥१७॥
17. sarvasādhyā narendreyaṃ mṛgajātiḥ sukātarā .
teṣvapatyeṣu me cātimamatvaṃ tena duḥkhitaḥ.

teṣu apatyeṣu me ca atimamatvam tena duḥkhitaḥ
17. O King, this deer species is very timid and easily subdued by everyone. And because of my excessive attachment to those offspring, I am distressed.
