मार्कण्डेय-पुराणम्       mārkaṇḍeya-purāṇam - chapter-117, verse-32

उत्तरमृग उवाच ।
एकदेहभयं यस्य दुःखं धन्यः स वै भवान् ।
बहूनि यस्य देहानि तस्य दुःखान्यनेकधा ॥३२॥
32. uttaramṛga uvāca .
ekadehabhayaṃ yasya duḥkhaṃ dhanyaḥ sa vai bhavān .
bahūni yasya dehāni tasya duḥkhānyanekadhā.
32. uttaramṛgaḥ uvāca ekadehabhayam yasya duḥkham dhanyaḥ sa
vai bhavān bahūni yasya dehāni tasya duḥkhāni anekadhā
32. The second deer said, "Blessed indeed are you, whose only sorrow is the fear for a single body. But for one who possesses many bodies, his miseries are manifold."
