मार्कण्डेय-पुराणम्       mārkaṇḍeya-purāṇam - chapter-117, verse-3

दत्त्वा च सकलां पृथ्वीं ब्राह्मणानां महात्मनाम् ।
तपसा द्रव्यमासाद्य मोदयन्साधितेन यः ॥३॥
3. dattvā ca sakalāṃ pṛthvīṃ brāhmaṇānāṃ mahātmanām .
tapasā dravyamāsādya modayansādhitena yaḥ.
3. dattvā ca sakalām pṛthvīm brāhmaṇānām mahātmanām
tapasā dravyam āsādya modayan sādhitenā yaḥ
3. And he, who, after having gifted the entire earth to the great-souled brahmins, and having acquired wealth through austerity (tapas), brought joy through his accomplishments.
