मार्कण्डेय-पुराणम्       mārkaṇḍeya-purāṇam - chapter-117, verse-13

पुत्रार्थं त्वं महाराज स्वपितॄन्यष्टुमिच्छसि ।
अपुत्रस्यास्य मांसेन लप्स्यसे वाञ्छितं कथम् ॥१३॥
13. putrārthaṃ tvaṃ mahārāja svapitṝnyaṣṭumicchasi .
aputrasyāsya māṃsena lapsyase vāñchitaṃ katham.

13. "[The deer said:] 'O great king, you desire to worship your ancestors for the sake of a son. How then will you obtain your desired wish by using the flesh of this sonless one (me)?'"
