मार्कण्डेय-पुराणम्       mārkaṇḍeya-purāṇam - chapter-117, verse-28

असूर्या नाम ते लोका यान्गच्छन्या् त्मघातकाः ।
यज्ञोपयुक्ताः पशवः सम्प्रयान्युवतच्छ्रितीः प्रभो ॥२८॥
28. asūryā nāma te lokā yāngacchanyā् tmaghātakāḥ .
yajñopayuktāḥ paśavaḥ samprayānyuvatacchritīḥ prabho.
28. asūryāḥ nāma te lokāḥ yān gacchanti hi ātmaghātakāḥ
yajñopayuktāḥ paśavaḥ samprayānti hi utacchritīḥ prabho
28. prabho,

28. O Lord, indeed, those worlds called 'sunless' (asūrya) are where self-slayers (ātmaghātaka) go. However, animals utilized in a Vedic ritual (yajña) certainly attain elevated states.
