न वेद्मि किं सन्ततिमान्धन्योऽपुत्रोऽत्र किं मृग ।
पुत्रार्थश्चायमारम्भो मम दोलायते मनः ॥३७॥

na vedmi kiṃ santatimāndhanyo'putro'tra kiṃ mṛga .

The king said: 'O sage, I do not know whether a person with progeny is blessed, or a childless one in this matter. And regarding this undertaking for a son, my mind wavers.'
