महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-9, chapter-53, verse-33

सोऽवतीर्याचलश्रेष्ठात्प्लक्षप्रस्रवणाच्छुभात् ।
ततः प्रीतमना रामः श्रुत्वा तीर्थफलं महत् ।
विप्राणां संनिधौ श्लोकमगायदिदमच्युतः ॥३३॥
33. so'vatīryācalaśreṣṭhātplakṣaprasravaṇācchubhāt ,
tataḥ prītamanā rāmaḥ śrutvā tīrthaphalaṁ mahat ,
viprāṇāṁ saṁnidhau ślokamagāyadidamacyutaḥ.
33. saḥ avatīrya acalaśreṣṭhāt plakṣaprasravaṇāt
śubhāt tataḥ prītamanāḥ rāmaḥ
śrutvā tīrthaphalam mahat viprāṇām
saṃnidhau ślokam agāyat idam acyutaḥ
33. saḥ acyutaḥ prītamanāḥ rāmaḥ śubhāt
acalaśreṣṭhāt plakṣaprasravaṇāt avatīrya
tataḥ mahat tīrthaphalam śrutvā
viprāṇām saṃnidhau idam ślokam agāyat
33. Having descended from the auspicious best of mountains, from the source of the Plakṣa tree, Lord Rama (acyuta), whose mind was filled with joy, then, having heard of the great benefit of visiting this sacred place (tīrtha), sang this verse in the presence of the brahmins.
