महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-9, chapter-43, verse-8

स गङ्गामभिसंगम्य नियोगाद्ब्रह्मणः प्रभुः ।
गर्भमाहितवान्दिव्यं भास्करोपमतेजसम् ॥८॥
8. sa gaṅgāmabhisaṁgamya niyogādbrahmaṇaḥ prabhuḥ ,
garbhamāhitavāndivyaṁ bhāskaropamatejasam.
8. saḥ gaṅgām abhisaṅgamya niyogāt brahmaṇaḥ prabhuḥ
garbham āhitavān divyam bhāskaropamatejasam
8. Approaching Gaṅgā by the command of Brahmā, that lord [Agni] deposited the divine seed (garbha) whose brilliance was like that of the sun.
