महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-7, chapter-8, verse-34

यं द्वौ न जहतः शब्दौ जीवमानं कदाचन ।
ब्राह्मश्च वेदकामानां ज्याघोषश्च धनुर्भृताम् ॥३४॥
34. yaṁ dvau na jahataḥ śabdau jīvamānaṁ kadācana ,
brāhmaśca vedakāmānāṁ jyāghoṣaśca dhanurbhṛtām.

34. While he lives, two sounds never forsake him: the Brahminical sound of Vedic recitations, dear to those devoted to the Vedas, and the twang of bowstrings, characteristic of those who bear bows.
