महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-7, chapter-2, verse-9

इदं तु राधेयवचो निशम्य ते सुताश्च राजंस्तव सैनिकाश्च ह ।
परस्परं चुक्रुशुरार्तिजं भृशं तदाश्रु नेत्रैर्मुमुचुर्हि शब्दवत् ॥९॥
9. idaṁ tu rādheyavaco niśamya te; sutāśca rājaṁstava sainikāśca ha ,
parasparaṁ cukruśurārtijaṁ bhṛśaṁ; tadāśru netrairmumucurhi śabdavat.
9. idam tu rādheyavacah niśamya te
sutāḥ ca rājan tava sainikāḥ ca ha
parasparam cukruśuḥ ārtijam bhṛśam
tadā aśru netraiḥ mumucuḥ hi śabdavat
9. rājan,
te tava sutāḥ ca sainikāḥ ca ha,
idam rādheyavacah tu niśamya,
tadā parasparam ārtijam bhṛśam cukruśuḥ.
hi netraiḥ śabdavat aśru mumucuḥ.
9. O king, having heard these words of Radheya (Karna), your sons and your soldiers then cried out to each other with great distress. Indeed, they shed tears loudly from their eyes.
