18.
Greatly increased austerity (tapas) is attained only by austerity (tapas); similarly, strength (balam) is attained by strength, and also by the resolute-minded (manasvibhiḥ). And my mind (manaḥ) is firmly fixed, like an immovable mountain, both in repelling enemies and in self-protection.
