महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-6, chapter-81, verse-35

अमूढचेतास्त्वथ चित्रसेनो महागदामापतन्तीं निरीक्ष्य ।
रथं समुत्सृज्य पदातिराजौ प्रगृह्य खड्गं विमलं च चर्म ।
अवप्लुतः सिंह इवाचलाग्राज्जगाम चान्यं भुवि भूमिदेशम् ॥३५॥
35. amūḍhacetāstvatha citraseno; mahāgadāmāpatantīṁ nirīkṣya ,
rathaṁ samutsṛjya padātirājau; pragṛhya khaḍgaṁ vimalaṁ ca carma ,
avaplutaḥ siṁha ivācalāgrā;jjagāma cānyaṁ bhuvi bhūmideśam.
35. amūḍhacetāḥ tu atha citrasenaḥ mahāgadām āpatantīm
nirīkṣya ratham samutsṛjya padātiḥ ājau
pragṛhya khaḍgam vimalam ca carmam avaplutaḥ siṃhaḥ
iva acalāgrāt jagāma ca anyam bhuvi bhūmideśam
35. atha amūḍhacetāḥ citrasenaḥ tu āpatantīm mahāgadām nirīkṣya ratham samutsṛjya,
vimalam khaḍgam ca carmam pragṛhya,
ājau padātiḥ avaplutaḥ,
acalāgrāt siṃhaḥ iva bhuvi anyam bhūmideśam ca jagāma
35. Then Citrasena, with an undeluded mind, observing the great mace falling, abandoned his chariot and, becoming a foot-soldier in the battle, grasped a shining sword and a shield. He leaped down like a lion from a mountain peak and went to another spot on the ground.
