कृपेण शल्येन शलेन चैव तथा विभो चित्रसेनेन चाजौ ।
विद्धाः शरैस्तेऽतिविवृद्धकोपैर्देवा यथा दैत्यगणैः समेतैः ॥१६॥

16. kṛpeṇa śalyena śalena caiva; tathā vibho citrasenena cājau ,
viddhāḥ śaraiste'tivivṛddhakopai;rdevā yathā daityagaṇaiḥ sametaiḥ.

16. And thus, O Lord (vibho)!, in battle, they were struck by Kripa, Shalya, Shala, and Chitrasena with arrows, just as the gods are struck by the combined hordes of immensely enraged demons.
