महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-6, chapter-105, verse-30

दशमेऽहनि तस्मिंस्तु दर्शयञ्शक्तिमात्मनः ।
राजञ्शतसहस्राणि सोऽवधीत्कुरुनन्दन ॥३०॥
30. daśame'hani tasmiṁstu darśayañśaktimātmanaḥ ,
rājañśatasahasrāṇi so'vadhītkurunandana.
30. daśame ahani tasmin tu darśayan śaktim ātmanaḥ
rājan śatasahasrāṇi saḥ avadhīt kurunandana
30. rājan tu daśame ahani tasmin saḥ kurunandana
ātmanaḥ śaktim darśayan śatasahasrāṇi avadhīt
30. O King (rājan), on that tenth day, Bhīṣma, the delight of the Kurus (kurunandana), indeed displayed his own power (śakti) and killed hundreds of thousands (of warriors).
