महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-5, chapter-7, verse-24

निगृह्योक्तो हृषीकेशस्त्वदर्थं कुरुनन्दन ।
मया संबन्धकं तुल्यमिति राजन्पुनः पुनः ॥२४॥
24. nigṛhyokto hṛṣīkeśastvadarthaṁ kurunandana ,
mayā saṁbandhakaṁ tulyamiti rājanpunaḥ punaḥ.
24. nigṛhya uktaḥ hṛṣīkeśaḥ tvadartham kurunandana
mayā sambandhakam tulyam iti rājan punaḥ punaḥ
24. "O delight of the Kurus, O King, it was I who repeatedly said to Hṛṣīkeśa (Krishna), restraining him for your sake, that the relationship (between the two parties) should be treated as equal."
