महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-5, chapter-155, verse-35

तथैव चाभिगम्यैनमुवाच स नराधिपः ।
प्रत्याख्यातश्च तेनापि स तदा शूरमानिना ॥३५॥
35. tathaiva cābhigamyainamuvāca sa narādhipaḥ ,
pratyākhyātaśca tenāpi sa tadā śūramāninā.
35. tatha eva ca abhigamya enam uvāca sa narādhipaḥ
pratyākhyātaḥ ca tena api sa tadā śūramāninā
35. ca tatha eva enam abhigamya saḥ narādhipaḥ uvāca
ca saḥ tadā śūramāninā tena api pratyākhyātaḥ
35. And having approached him (Duryodhana) in the same manner, that king (Rukmin) then spoke. But he (Rukmin) was also rejected by that one (Duryodhana) who considered himself a hero.
