महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-5, chapter-131, verse-34

शूरस्योर्जितसत्त्वस्य सिंहविक्रान्तगामिनः ।
दिष्टभावं गतस्यापि विघसे मोदते प्रजा ॥३४॥
34. śūrasyorjitasattvasya siṁhavikrāntagāminaḥ ,
diṣṭabhāvaṁ gatasyāpi vighase modate prajā.

34. Even though a hero, endowed with great strength (sattva) and moving with the might of a lion, has met his destiny, the people rejoice in the provisions (vighasa) he left behind.
