महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-3, chapter-28, verse-14

या वै त्वा कौशिकैर्वस्त्रैः शुभ्रैर्बहुधनैः पुरा ।
दृष्टवत्यस्मि राजेन्द्र सा त्वां पश्यामि चीरिणम् ॥१४॥
14. yā vai tvā kauśikairvastraiḥ śubhrairbahudhanaiḥ purā ,
dṛṣṭavatyasmi rājendra sā tvāṁ paśyāmi cīriṇam.
14. yā vai tvām kauśikaiḥ vastraiḥ śubhraiḥ bahudhanaiḥ
purā dṛṣṭavatī asmi rājendra sā tvām paśyāmi cīriṇam
14. O great king (rājendra), I, who once saw you indeed wearing bright, very costly silken garments, now behold you dressed in bark.
