19. mārkaṇḍeya uvāca ,
sa tatheti pratijñāya sāvitryā vacanaṁ nṛpaḥ ,
prasādayāmāsa punaḥ kṣipramevaṁ bhavediti.

Markandeya said: The king, having promised "So be it" in response to Savitri's words, again appeased her, wishing that it would quickly come to pass.
