महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-2, chapter-62, verse-9

धर्म्याः स्त्रियः सभां पूर्वं न नयन्तीति नः श्रुतम् ।
स नष्टः कौरवेयेषु पूर्वो धर्मः सनातनः ॥९॥
9. dharmyāḥ striyaḥ sabhāṁ pūrvaṁ na nayantīti naḥ śrutam ,
sa naṣṭaḥ kauraveyeṣu pūrvo dharmaḥ sanātanaḥ.
9. dharmyāḥ striyaḥ sabhām pūrvam na nayanti iti naḥ śrutam
| saḥ naṣṭaḥ kauraveyeṣu pūrvaḥ dharmaḥ sanātanaḥ
9. We have heard that, in the past, righteous women were not brought into the assembly. That ancient and eternal natural law (dharma) has been lost among the Kauravas.
