महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-17, chapter-3, verse-31

स्थानेऽस्मिन्वस राजेन्द्र कर्मभिर्निर्जिते शुभैः ।
किं त्वं मानुष्यकं स्नेहमद्यापि परिकर्षसि ॥३१॥
31. sthāne'sminvasa rājendra karmabhirnirjite śubhaiḥ ,
kiṁ tvaṁ mānuṣyakaṁ snehamadyāpi parikarṣasi.
31. sthāne asmin vasa rājendra karmabhiḥ nirjite śubhaiḥ
kim tvam mānuṣyakam sneham adya api parikarṣasi
31. rājendra! asmin śubhaiḥ karmabhiḥ nirjite sthāne vasa.
kim tvam adya api mānuṣyakam sneham parikarṣasi?
31. O king (rājendra), reside in this realm, which has been won through virtuous deeds (karma). Why do you still cling to human affection even now?
