महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-13, chapter-74, verse-34

ब्रह्मचर्यस्य तु गुणाञ्शृणु मे वसुधाधिप ।
आ जन्ममरणाद्यस्तु ब्रह्मचारी भवेदिह ।
न तस्य किंचिदप्राप्यमिति विद्धि जनाधिप ॥३४॥
34. brahmacaryasya tu guṇāñśṛṇu me vasudhādhipa ,
ā janmamaraṇādyastu brahmacārī bhavediha ,
na tasya kiṁcidaprāpyamiti viddhi janādhipa.
34. brahmacaryasya tu guṇān śṛṇu me
vasudhādhipa ā janmamaraṇāt yaḥ tu
brahmacārī bhavet iha na tasya
kiñcit aprāpyam iti viddhi janādhip
34. vasudhādhipa me tu brahmacaryasya
guṇān śṛṇu iha yaḥ tu ā janmamaraṇāt
brahmacārī bhavet tasya kiñcit
aprāpyam na iti janādhipa viddhi
34. But hear from me, O protector of the earth, the virtues of continence (brahmacarya). Whoever observes continence (brahmacarya) here from birth until death—understand, O lord of men, that nothing is unattainable for him.
