महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-12, chapter-7, verse-30

आत्मनो हि वयं दोषाद्विनष्टाः शाश्वतीः समाः ।
प्रदहन्तो दिशः सर्वास्तेजसा भास्करा इव ॥३०॥
30. ātmano hi vayaṁ doṣādvinaṣṭāḥ śāśvatīḥ samāḥ ,
pradahanto diśaḥ sarvāstejasā bhāskarā iva.

pradahantaḥ diśaḥ sarvāḥ tejasā bhāskarāḥ iva

30. Indeed, due to our own fault (ātman), we have been ruined for countless ages, scorching all directions with our brilliance, just like suns.
